PostSubject: MonsterGaming back up with animal behaviour changes.   2013-05-07, 19:21

MonsterGaming is now back up and running as it should, hopefully.
95% of the animals have been eliminated, together with some villagers. Those who got their villagers deleted, was given some diamonds, just to be nice.

We have set a max cap of animal in loaded chunks to around 3000 in plotworld, to start off with.
We have disabled breeding in plotworld.
We have disabled natural animal spawning in plotworld.
We have increased the MobCatcher price by $10.
We also did some small other adjustments, but not anything worth noting here.

Note that all these restrictions are not permanently defined, they may change as the time passes.

I was not aware either so I did not bother capturing my sheep in the wild. Now I have no sheep left because it was not stated that animals in the wold were also going to be cleared.

The animals caused crazy lag, but the villagers were causing just as much. They also caused people to lag spike in some areas where there were too many villagers opening/closing doors.

Some few wildy animals were eliminated by accident, sorry.

Villager breeding would be entirely disabled then, but as we want villages to still be a part of MG, we've decided to not let players capture them and create huge breeding farms.

However, you can still create these farms in wilderness/pvpworld by manually move them around. (For instance, using minecarts)

A lot of people (if not all) lost some animals. But to be honest, what would you guys rather have? Lost animals with a lag free server? or your animals there with lag making the server hard to use? Simple isn't it? Smile

Yeeahh, wang is right. all of my animal lost, include mooshroom. Lucky, i have backup in spawn egg for all species of animal.

You can only breed animals in wilderness now, I don't want you to waste money after noticing that you can't breed in plotworld.

Since mooshrooms are now rare, use it in your favor. Breed and sell them for not that cheap prices.
